Valorant Gekko: Riot Games, the mastermind behind the wildly popular FPS game VALORANT, has recently revealed its 22nd Agent, the enigmatic and elusive “Gekko.” As an Initiator, Gekko’s arrival promises to shake things up in the game with some intriguing and unconventional abilities that are sure to surprise and delight players.

Gekko’s abilities are some of the most bizarre and compelling to date. In a recent “State of the Agents” video by Riot Games, John Goscicki, VALORANT’s character producer, shared some insights into the Initiator’s unique abilities. Gekko’s four signature abilities include:

• Mosh Pit: The player can FIRE to throw Mosh like a grenade, or ALT FIRE to throw it underhand. Once it lands, Mosh duplicates itself across an area and explodes after a short delay.
• Wingman (Q): The player can FIRE to send Wingman forward, scouting for enemies. If an enemy is detected, Wingman fires a concussive blast in a triangular shape at the first enemy sighted. ALT FIRE allows the player to Plant or Defuse the Spike, depending on whether they have the spike, when they are looking at the Site or Planted Spike. Other players can destroy Wingman while planting or defusing the spike. Once Wingman Expires, it transforms into a glob that can be picked up and used again after a short cooldown.
• Dizzy (E): The player can FIRE to send Dizzy forward into the air, charging it up and sending out beams at any enemies in its line of sight. When enemies are hit, they become blinded. When Dizzy Expires, it turns into a glob that can be picked up and used again after a short cooldown.
• Thrash (X): The player can FIRE to control and link with Thrash to steer her. While in the Ultimate, the player can FIRE to lunge forward and detonate, detaining any enemies within its radius. When Thrash Expires, it turns into a glob that can be picked up and used again after a short cooldown. However, Thrash can only be reclaimed once.

Valorant Agent Gekko Release Date

John Goscicki has confirmed that Gekko’s arrival is imminent, and he will be joining the fray in the game “soon.” Given that Episode 6 Act 1 is currently underway, it’s reasonable to expect that the new Agent will be unleashed upon the gaming world with the release of Episode 6 Act 2 on March 7, 2023.
