Valorant 11.10 Update Brings Major Harbor Rework and Clove Nerfs
Riot Games has released their latest update for Valorant, patch 11.10, bringing significant changes to gameplay, competitive mode, and new community features. This update introduces a major rework of the Agent Harbor, nerfs to Clove, and new security measures for high-ranked players. Additionally, the update improves the overall game experience through bug fixes and console enhancements.
The highlight of the Patch 11.10 update is the rework of Harbor, a Controller Agent. Riot Games has redesigned Harbor to take on a more aggressive role by giving him Initiator abilities alongside his existing control features. The update moves his “Cove” ability to his signature slot, introduces a new ability called “Storm Surge,” and modifies his ultimate, “Reckoning,” to offer better initiation tools to support his team offensively. These changes open up new strategic opportunities for players using Harbor.
On the other hand, Clove has been nerfed to balance her presence in competitive matches. Her “Pick Me Up” overheal effect is reduced from 100 HP to 50 HP while active, and the maximum number of her “Ruse” charges when she is dead is limited to 1. These adjustments are aimed at reducing Clove’s dominance and encouraging a more diverse selection of Controllers in the competitive meta.
Starting November 13, Valorant will launch the Game Changers Pick’Ems event directly in the client. This new feature allows fans to predict outcomes in this popular esports tournament’s 10-team double-elimination bracket, increasing engagement and excitement around competitive play.
In a move to improve the integrity of competitive matches, Riot Games is requiring players ranked Ascendant or higher in North America, Latin America, Brazil, and Korea to enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) through the Riot Mobile app. This step helps fight against smurfing, cheating, and account sharing issues among top players, making Competitive mode fairer. Players must set up MFA immediately after the patch to continue queuing in Competitive games.
The patch also includes gameplay system updates that simplify how players can remove layered debuffs by holding the “Use Object” button, and Omen’s smoke placements are now visible to spectators to enhance the viewing experience. Many bugs across agents, UI elements, and game mechanics have been fixed, improving overall gameplay consistency.
Console players receive notable improvements with the release of the replay feature, new lobby navigation, and queue timers. These console-specific UI changes aim to provide a better user experience for players on those platforms.
Additional updates include improvements to the PC Premier system, allowing players to view teams and rosters, and Korean-specific collection UI changes scheduled for release on November 11.
Riot Games expressed excitement about the Harbor update, saying, “We’re very excited for you to all dive in!” With these varied and impactful changes, Patch 11.10 promises to enhance both casual and competitive Valorant gameplay across all platforms.
Overall, Valorant’s 11.10 update focuses on balance, security, and community engagement, striving to keep the game fresh and enjoyable for its diverse player base worldwide.
